PHOTO WORKSHOP
'Quebec, a winter kingdom'

February 7-10th 2026
February 14-17th 2026

In winter, the landscapes of Quebec transform into a true fairy-tale setting. A thick white blanket covers the ground, the trees are dressed in frost and the soft winter light wraps the scenes in a quiet magic. Although most birds have migrated and mammals are more discreet, this season offers unique opportunities for photography. What could be more beautiful than a wild animal under a gentle snowfall, in the heart of a frosted forest?

Join me for a photographic immersion in the heart of these enchanting settings. For four days, come face to face with northern wildlife and capture precious moments in the captivating atmosphere of winter in Quebec.

The owls

It’s impossible to resist the charm of owls. These nocturnal predators with enigmatic gazes captivate the imagination. In Quebec, we’re lucky to have no fewer than ten different species and winter is the ideal season to observe them. After years of roaming snowy forests in search of them, I know how to guide you to maximize your chances of photographing them in some of Quebec’s most enchanting settings.

Winter birds

Although most birds migrate south to escape the Quebec winter, some passerines brave the cold and choose to stay. Active and resilient, they must feed tirelessly to conserve their energy. On stormy days, as snow dances through the air and the landscape turns magical, these birds gather by the dozens at the feeders, offering a lively and inspiring spectacle. Thanks to this abundance, there are many opportunities to capture dream images. We will have several sessions in a specially designed blind, where patience and discretion will allow us to experience privileged moments up close with these winter birds.

Winter and it's surprises...

Winter always arrives with its share of wonderful surprises. Each season is unique, and that’s exactly what makes the adventure so exciting. During our four days spent in the field searching for wildlife, there will be plenty of opportunities for memorable encounters. We might come across a flock of boreal waxwings, a forest alive with the comings and goings of hares, or even a curious fox...
